Under a Warrant of Constitution, granted by the Grand Lodge of England, through the Provincial Grand Master of Bengal.
Venue of the Lodge meetings shifted from Calcutta to Ice House at Howrah in 1860 up to December, 1870.
Thereafter the Lodge was moved to Calcutta at 55,, Bentick Street and finally shifted to Freemasons’ Hall, 19, Park Street, Calcutta in 1941 where it continues to meet .

First Hindu Freemason of Bengal PROSONNO COOMAR DUTT installed in the Eastern Chair on 12th December, 1873. Since then the management of the Lodge has gradually been entrusted to Hindu Brethren.
WOMESH CHUNDER BONNERJEE (First President of Indian National Congress) installed in Eastern Chair in 1878.
NARENDRANATH DUTTA (Swami Vivekananda) initiated in 1884.
